The HealWell Night Splint is our favorite, non-ice splint and is designed to comfortably position the foot in a controlled amount of dorsiflexion, providing a gentle stretch to the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon. This gentle, constant stretch helps reduce the muscle contracture, inflammation and associated pain in the treatment of Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, muscle cramps and other similar conditions affecting the lower extremities. Plantar Fasciitis (an inflammation of the plantar fascia) is caused by repetitive strains and is the most common cause of localized heel pain.
Made of spring-action, strong Kydex plastic with ventilated calf area for comfort and breathability, it helps prevent torquing at critical areas. Open, cut heel design allows the foot to be comfortably and properly positioned; the adjustable bilateral dorsiflexion straps control the amount (degree) of dorsiflexion. Easy push lock buckles and three strategically placed padded straps. Removable foam wedge; non-slip bottom helps prevent accidental slipping on flooring.
Microban® Antimicrobial Protection in the removable liner for the added benefit of helping to prevent the growth of certain odor and stain causing bacteria, yeast and fungi.
